Science and Technology
The Science and Technology program at Bell Primary School aims to
provide the children with the skills, knowledge and resources to
explore and develop understanding about the world around them.
Science and Technology learning involves a range of ‘hands on’
activities.
We continue to be involved in many and varied science activities as
possible. In the past such activities have included participating
in the Solar Boat Challenge, Science Talent Search, Engquest and
many more.
Environmental science is addressed via Student Action Teams.
Groups of students research and identify issues in the local
environment and work together to implement solutions. Bell Primary
also has an ongoing relationship with the Merri/Darebin Creek
Management Team where the senior students visit the creek once a
week to assist with monitoring the water quality and local
environment.
In addition, opportunities are provided for families to join
hands-on activities such as astronomy nights, science picnics and
family science nights. |
