Bell Primary School encourages all families to be actively involved in their children’s education by engaging confidently with staff, other parents/carers and the wider school community. The Bell community provides a rich, diverse and inclusive culture that is embraced by all, and is underpinned by our school vision and values statements that were developed after extensive consultation with all sections of the school community.
Vision:Bell Primary School is a caring community that fosters a love of learning in young people. At school and beyond, students are confident to think critically and empowered to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. We are grounded by our school values of resilience, creativity, curiosity, collaboration and respect that establish clear expectations around the attitudes and behaviours that support a positive and productive learning community.
Values:
The learning journey for a student at Bell will continue to develop their sense of self and achievement as they move along a learning continuum guided by the Victorian Curriculum. Bell students are literate, numerate and curious learners, supported by a differentiated curriculum that provides opportunities for students to pursue their interests and curiosity about the world that they live in as members of the school community, the local Darebin area and as global citizens.
Students have opportunities to engage in the Arts through our biennial events being a whole school performance, showcasing their creative/artistic talent and in the alternative year, a writer’s festival allowing students to apply their literacy skills in creative ways. The fields of languages (Italian), PE/Sport, Music, Visual Arts and STEAM also feature strongly as areas of excellence across our curriculum.
