Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships

Respectful Relationships education is a core component of the Victorian Curriculum from Prep to Year 12, that aims to embed a culture of respect and equality across the entire school community.

At Bell Primary, Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) is incorporated into the curriculum alongside elements of the Berry St Educational Model (BSEM) and School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS). Through a weekly explicit wellbeing lesson, social and emotional competencies are developed in a sequential and scaffolded way.

Respectful Relationships education covers eight topics of Social and Emotional Learning, which are explicitly taught in classrooms from Grades P-6 across the school year.

Term 1 - Emotional Literacy and Strengths

Term 2 - Positive Coping, Problem Solving and Stress Management

Term 3 - Help Seeking and H&HD

Term 4 - Gender and Identity and Positive Gender Relations.
